I am a queer and feminist artist, writer, and educator serving as Executive Director of The ArtWrite Collective and as a teaching artist at the Monroe Street Arts Center. My major creative works are transdisciplinary, social, and performative, while day to day projects work out concepts like gender, the mundane, and collective feeling in small visual experiments.
I received the B.S. in Art and undergraduate certificate in Gender and Women’s Studies from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012; I received the M.S. in Educational Leadership and Policy from Portland State University with a graduate emphasis in community-based learning in 2014. Hiking 255 miles of the Superior Hiking Trail (2016) and 1,019 miles of the Appalachian Trail (2014) have been self-guided artist residencies, gestures of reflection, reintroductions to my body, and grounding exercises for my creative career.
